Meet one of the co-founder of EBI: Mark Rewhorn

Mark Rewhorn

Mark is from the United Kingdom, and has 34 plus years experience of Industry and Commerce. He holds an MBA (Master of Business Administration), is Six-Sigma Certified, and works currently toward a Ph.D.

Originally from the aircraft industry, Mark was also a research laboratory manager, gained extensive experience within the motor industry, spent time as a worldwide Six Sigma trainer, and is currently an independent management and quality consultant. Mark is also an approved NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) assessor.

During his working life, Mark has gained an in-depth knowledge and understanding of how SMEs (Small and Medium Sized Enterprises) work and the specific problems that they face. He has assisted many to improve their bottom line using Lean and Six Sigma techniques.

• Six-sigma and Lean techniques. (Six Sigma Academy certified)

• Managerial competences and application. (MBA and DMS (Diploma of Management Studies) qualifications)
• Electronics and Instrumentation; calibration, measurement and certification experience. C&G (City and Guilds) to FTC (Full Technological Certificate) level.

Marco Klootwijk is the other co-founder of EBI:

Marco Klootwijk

Marco is from the Netherlands. He serves as an Idea-generator for Process Improvements in the broader sentence. Marco has over 10 years of working experience. Over 4 years of which was spent in the moulding industry, where he dedicated most of his time to optimising the production and programming of CNC-machining for mould cavities. Marco has also 4 years of experience in developing, implementing and optimising (production) processes for High-End parts for the Hearing Aid industry. Currently Marco is employed at a High Technical Company in the Netherlands. Marco holds a Bachelor degree in Precision Techniques is a certified ASQ Black Belt and has followed several trainings in Lean Manufacturing and Change Management.

As from early May 2008, the EBI team is expanded with Dave Harris.

Dave Harris

Dave is from England and can be described as an experienced Quality Manager with active involvement and knowledge of management systems. Beside that, Dave has extended experience and knowledge of implementation and interaction with business processes.

Dave has worked for and with many major automotive organisations over the past 20 years. In those years, he esthablished a vast knowledge of quality improvement techniques and their implementation. This includes the training of the techniques at all levels within the organisations.

Currently Dave is responsible for the deployment of lean six sigma into a non-automotive organisation in the West Midlands area of the UK.

• QS9000.Rev3 auditor

• EFQM Assessor.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certified
