Business Plans by Mark Rewhorn
Entry Date: 020408

A business plan should be no longer than necessary and there should be no challengeable assumptions in it. I have seen many rambling business plans in my time, plans that took hours to write, but nonetheless plans that we never going to be useful.

Keep it short, keep it clear, keep it simple, and keep it realistic.

Whilst it seems logical to start off the writing with descriptions of your ideas, details of the helpers etc. don’t. Sit down and work out the financial section first. If you can’t make this section work you are wasting your time writing the rest. Save yourself the heartache of several weeks of work putting together a good story, only to find right at the end that you can never make a profit.
